Introducing our first glamping dome, The Suckley

The Suckley Glamping Dome

When naming the Redhill glamping dome we wanted to highlight the amazing views they all enjoy across the Herefordshire and Worcestershire countryside. Each pod has a similar view but, at the same time, very different. The hills you can see from each dome are very apparent and they were the inspiration for the names we gave our glamping domes.

The Suckley was the first glamping dome to open in October 2018 and is the first pod you come to from the entrance. It is named after the Suckley Hills where you get a superb view. The Suckley hills have a treelined summit and you can make out shapes of various animals as you lay back in the hot tub and let your mind drift and dream.

Derived from Anglo-Saxon roots, the term Suckley can be translated as “Woods where the birds are found” – a fitting name for this lovely locale.

Take in Stunning Views from your private Hot Tub

Glamping Dome Hot Tub

At The Suckley glamping dome, you can take in the breathtaking views from their very own hot tub and terrace. The hot tub looks out onto the Suckley Hills and rolling countryside beyond, offering a stunning spot to relax and unwind. You can also make use of the BBQ and Kitchen facilities, where you can cook up delicious meals whilst enjoying a unique alfresco dining experience.

The Suckley is only a short drive from the Malvern Hills, making it the perfect spot for glampers looking to explore both this region of the country and beyond. You can also enjoy a range of activities in the area, from hiking trails around the hills to exploring local attractions such as Eastnor Castle and the Malvern Museum.

Redhill Holidays is committed to providing glampers with a luxurious getaway in a picture-perfect location, making The Suckley an ideal destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With stunning views of the picturesque Malvern countryside.

All the Amenities You Need for an Unforgettable Holiday Experience

Inside the suckley glamping dome

Suckley is the green pod, due to the décor. There are 240v electric points throughout the pod, with USB points by the bed to charge your phones and a television with Freeview channels. The log burner is a real treat and all the firewood is included in your price. Towels, slippers, and gowns are all available for you in the glamping dome, these little extras all help to create a true luxury feel which helps reduce the stress of everyday life.

View from inside the suckley glamping dome

Step into the Suckley glamping dome and be swept away by the stunning view. From your vantage point, you can take in all of the beauty of the rolling hills that make up this picturesque landscape. The expansive window offers a perfect view of its majestic views of the Malvern Hills as far as your eye can see!

Outside on the private decking, you can see the reclining chairs and the dining table all positioned to maximise the enjoyment of the view. Relax and unwind.

Inside the Suckley

The beds are very comfortable to ensure you get a great night’s sleep. The blue circular object on the bedside table is a star projector, this allows you to project the stars onto the dome which is great if the night is cloudy and you don’t get to enjoy the real thing.

The night sky is a wonderful thing to behold, especially in this dark valley. Guests can clearly see the space station orbiting the earth along with other satellites. Just lay back in the hot tub and you will be amazed by what you can see.

Glamping Facilities

Something else, which Fiona and I thought was a necessity, is the private facilities. This is the Suckley shower room. Which is exclusively for the guests in the Suckley glamping dome.

Dome Facilities

Outside each lockable shower room is a hair-drying facility.

Explore Nature with one of our woodland walks

Bluebell Walk

The Redhill Holidays estate has a range of different walks available to glampers, giving you the opportunity to explore the Herefordshire countryside. Some of our most popular walks are the Bluebell and Pixhill walks. These trails begin on the grounds of Redhill Holidays, taking you through fields, woods, and meadows adorned with bluebells in springtime.

As you navigate your way around the landscape, keep an eye out for wildlife as this area is rich in birdlife, with many species inhabiting its woodlands and hedgerows. You may even catch sight of red kites wheeling overhead or deer grazing peacefully on grassy hillsides providing ample opportunities for wonderful photographs.

The path follows Sapey Brook which meanders through lush valleys planted with mature trees forming a canopy over much of the walk. Feel free to take your time along this tranquil route as there is plenty on offer including magnificent views, wildflowers, and fascinating historical points such as old churches and bridges.

Not too far from Redhall Holidays, you will come across Pixhill Woods where there are more than 400 acres of ancient woodland that have been managed since Elizabethan times; here you will find an abundance of wildflowers such as bluebells, primroses, and violets carpeting much of its floor during springtime. This is also a great spot to capture images with impressive oak trees towering high above while birds singing fill the air – it’s nature at its finest!

If that doesn’t quite satisfy your appetite for exploration then why not check out other trails including Malvern Hills Walk or Offa’s Dyke Path? Both offer spectacular scenery and provide ample opportunity for discovering more about this beautiful part of Herefordshire that Redhall Holidays proudly calls home.
